From Syracuse, New York, Scorey has built a career on melody, vulnerability and an ability to turn real-life experiences into records that connect far beyond his hometown.

His journey began independently, recording music while working a summer job to help pay for studio sessions and videos. His early breakout “Freddy Krueger” caught the attention of fellow rapper, Polo G, leading to an invitation to perform during Polo G’s Die A Legend Tour and ultimately becoming the first artist signed to Polo G’s Only Dreamers Achieve (ODA) label, in partnership with Columbia Records.

What followed was a catalog that established Scorey as a distinctive voice in melodic hip-hop. Records including “Moods,” “Love Letter,” “Girls Love Rod Wave,” and “Die Young.” In addition to his popular singles, Scorey expanded his audience on the road through touring and festival performances, including Rolling Loud Miami and SXSW.

After the release of two albums, Help Is On The Way and If You Feel Lost, Scorey enters a new chapter with single releases leading up to his next project:

Released August 22, 2026, “Bad Role Model 2” revisits a theme that has followed Scorey throughout his career—the complicated relationship between the life an artist has lived and the example his success can create for the people watching him.

The record brings Scorey’s melodic instincts together with the introspection and firsthand storytelling that have become signatures of his music. Rather than presenting a polished version of his journey, Scorey embraces its contradictions: success and sacrifice, loyalty and loss, ambition and consequence.

The title itself carries that tension.

Being a role model suggests someone whose path should be followed. Being a bad role model acknowledges that surviving a particular path does not necessarily mean encouraging someone else to take it.

With “Bad Role Model 2,” Scorey turns that contradiction into music.

It is both a continuation and an evolution—a young artist reflecting on how far he has come while remaining connected to the circumstances, relationships and losses that shaped him.

From an emerging Syracuse artist funding his own studio time to building a catalog heard hundreds of millions of times, Scorey’s career has been driven by an ability to make personal experiences feel universal.
